Art Director adapting to a couple UX Apps

I consider myself a User Experience Enthusiast. I love creating products that are easy to use and are visually appealing. Web Design is where I started in the advertising industry and User Experience without the name has been in web design when dealing with clients and having to do user research product testing, etc. As a result, I am diving into Sketch( an industry standard) and Adobe XD(new to the playground) because I Iove UX, I prefer these applications, and I know that the learning curve will be rather easy for me.

There are 3 main areas/paths in my opinion from what I have learned thus far(and some can overlap). Learning never ends:
1) RESEARCH: [Know & understand your users] User Research, Information Architecture, Ideation (User Researcher, Content Strategist).
2) DESIGN: Wireframes, Visual Design, Prototype, User Testing (Information Architect, UI Designer, Product/Visual Designer)
3) ENGINEER: Interaction Design, Development (Front End Developer, Interaction Designer).

There are different moving parts. Some job postings ask for a UX Designer, but would like the candidate to wear multiple hats possibly unaware of the different roles played. I believe the ones who are aware of the roles in user experience would submit job postings with the correct titles and descriptions. That being said, my focus will be in the design path. Below I will post designs/mock-ups using Sketch and Adobe XD when I can; starting small and expanding as time passes.

Cheers!
